Mytek Digital 2019 / Brooklyn DAC+ firmware version 1.25 To update Brooklyn DAC+ firmware to the latest revision an installed the Mytek Control Panel is required. The update can be performed on Windows 7,8,10 and OSX Yosemite / El Capitan / Sierra / High Sierra / Mojave. IMPORTANT NOTE If going from firmware 1.11 or earlier: The firmware file "Mytek_BrooklynDAC+_firmware_v1.23_for1.11upgrade" must be uploaded FIRST to perform the update. Otherwise the DAC will not be programmed properly! When this fails please try again using the same file. If the update fails again use the "Mytek_BrooklynDAC+_firmware_v1.25.mfb" file (it may be necessary to use the procedure from "When the update fails" paragaph). How to update the firmware: Start Mytek Control Panel application. The program ("General" tab / "Firmware" section) will show you the current revision of your unit, and whether it needs an update or not. If so, then simply press the "Load firmware file" button to find the desired firmware file. Next click "Update" button. A progress bar will indicate when the flash process is finished. The DAC will reset itself. Before using restore the Brooklyn DAC+ to factory settings. A reboot of the computer is not necessary. When the update fails: Press and hold the first from the left button and turn the Brooklyn DAC+ on. The DAC will start in Bootloader mode - "MYTEK" logo is fading in and out. The flash process should then be tried again. Firmware revision history: v1.25 / 2019-07-03 Important note #1: not possible to revert to previous version (1.11) if this firmware has been uploaded.
